SHE'S GOING HOME

Based on “She’s Leaving Home” written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney

Monday morning at five o’clock is when she checked in
Quickly they brought her up to the floor
Got her started on therapy Q4
She goes downhill very quickly anytime she gets sick
But she made a swift recovery
So her doctor said D/C

She (We were in fear for her life)
Is going (She can go on with her life)
Home (She got better now there’s no need to cry)
She’ll be sleeping in her own bed tonight
So let’s give a cheer (All Right!)

Happily she removes her awful hospital gown
It is the one thing she hates to wear
Happily she brushes her long hair
She goes down to the nurses station
And tells them all she’s gone
Climbs in the wheelchair easily
Saying to herself I’m free

She (They brought her back to good health)
Is going (Thank the Lord she’s in good health)
Home (She is all better there’s no need to cry)
She’ll be sleeping in her own bed tonight
So let’s give a cheer (All Right!)

Friday morning at nine o’clock she is home to stay
There are no more appointments to be made
All of her blood work has made the grade
She (Glad she’s home where she belongs)
Is having (Home is the place she belongs)
Fun (Fun is the one thing that can’t be denied)
The doc implied there won’t be a backslide
So let’s give a cheer (All Right!)
She’s going home (All Right!)
